Winning The Hindu Achievement in Surpassing Disability Award at The Hindu World of Women 2025 on Friday, Aiswarya Rao has been at the forefront in helping individuals especially women with disabilities through her organisation ‘Better World Shelter for Women with Disabilities’. She focuses on creating safe, inclusive spaces, advocating for public health, gender equality and disability. “Disability is a design, as all of us are unique and different from one another. The world is built in a way that is not accessible to everyone, but with simple design changes the world becomes more accessible,” she said. The award was presented to her by Justice R. N. Manjula, and Anitha Sampath Vice Chairperson of Naruvi Hospitals.
