A slew of events were held at Kukkarahalli Lake to mark World Water Day in the city on Saturday.

It was jointly conducted by the University of Mysore, Water Forum Mysuru, Mysore School of Architecture, Aranya Outreach, and Mysuru Grahakara Parishat.

The activities included birdwatching walks, tree walks, and nature walks, aimed at raising awareness about the importance of protecting wetland ecosystems. Students of CAVA were also part of the activity and captured the natural beauty of the lake through their art work.

There was also a discussion on how citizens can work together to conserve and enhance biodiversity and make Mysuru more climate-resilient.
