Maha Kumbh: Trash skimmers, sanitation workers keep Sangam clean

Despite the overwhelming influx of devotees at the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, leading to significant waste accumulation and cleanliness challenges, the Mela administration is actively implementing measures to maintain hygiene.

To tackle the issue, modern trash skimmer machines have been deployed at the Sangam, collecting 10-15 tons of waste daily, including flowers, coconuts, clothes, plastic, and other ritual offerings discarded by devotees.
