Villupuram – Rameswaram special trains via Tiruchi to clear summer rush

Southern Railway will operate superfast express special trains from Villupuram to Rameswaram and back via Tiruchi from May 2 to June 30 to clear the extra rush during summer. The trains will be operated on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. 

The Villupuram – Rameswaram special (Train No. 06105) will depart Villupuram Junction at 4.15 a.m. and reach Rameswaram at 11.40 a.m., the same day.  In the return direction, the Rameswaram – Villupuram special (Train No. 06106) will leave Rameswaram at 2.35 p.m. and arrive at Villupuram Junction at 10.35 p.m. 

The trains will be operated with one AC 3-tier coach, 13 chair car coaches and two second class coaches (Divyangjan friendly). The trains will stop at Vriddhachalam, Srirangam, Tiruchi, Dindigul, Madurai, Manamadurai and Ramanathapuram, a press release from the Tiruchi Division said.
