The DMK government should stop indulging in politics over the National Education Policy (NEP) with the Centre in the larger interest of the students, said Tamil Maanila Congress president G.K. Vasan on Sunday (February 23, 2025).

Speaking to media persons, he said that the DMK leaders gave the impression that they were the only protectors of Tamil and the Tamils. “It is wrong. The DMK is actually misleading and twisting the issue.”

Many leaders had contributed their might to the cause of Tamil and the Tamils across the globe in public life. The DMK should stop boasting and act in a practical manner, he said.

At a time when the DMK leaders said that they would not allow the three-language formula at any cost in Tamil Nadu, they committed a big blunder. “When they don’t want the students in the State to take the third language, how would others (non-Tamil students) would be able to take the third language (Tamil) here, Mr. Vasan asked.
