‘Uttara Dwara Darshanam’ and ‘Pushparchana’ tomorrow at Srisailam

‘Uttara Dwara Darshan’ of the processional deities of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba will be held at the Jyothirlinga temple in Srisailam on the occasion of ‘Mukkoti Ekadasi’ on January 10 (Friday). ‘Ravana Vahana Seva’ would also be performed to the processional deities on the same day.

According to the temple officials, the processional deities will be brought out of the temple from the north entrance and seated on the Ravana Vahana, after which special rituals would be offered. ‘Gramotsavam’ (procession) would be held later following which devotees will be allowed to have darshan from 6 a.m..

Meanwhile, a special ‘Pushparchana’ will be held on the same day for the global peace. On the occasion, the deities will be offered archana with 4,000 kg of flowers. A total of 40 varieties of flowers including rose, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lotus and others would be used for this.

‘Chaturveda Parayanam’ will be held by the temple priests and another 15 vedic priests who are invited from other regions.

Bharatha Chaitanya Yuvajana (BCY) party founder Bode Ramachandra Yadav will bear the entire cost of expenses required for the offering of flowers.
