Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, JCB India, Deepak Shetty has said the tariff hike imposed by the United States on Indian goods has opened up opportunities to explore other untapped overseas markets.

Speaking to reporters here after inaugurating JCB India’s dealership KUN Capital Automotive on Tiruchi-Madurai Highway at Panjapur, Mr. Shetty said the impact of high tariff on Indian goods was being closely evaluated. The announcements towards tariff, Indian goods and services kept changing frequently.

Mr. Shetty, while pointing out the contradictory statements on H1 B visa, said the situation was still fluid. A clear picture was awaited. His company had exported 10,000 earth movers to the USA last year. The company was looking to export more machines to the USA. However, the scenario had opened up avenues for exploring the untapped potential in other countries. JCB India had exported to 135 countries.

On its new outlet in Tiruchi, he said that JCB India, one of the leading construction equipment manufacturers, was committed to providing technologically advanced infrastructure solutions to customers across the region.
