Unrecognised college correspondent arrested – The Hindu

The correspondent of an unrecognised college Jackson that offered nursing and medical lab technician courses was arrested on the charge of cheating by the Aruppukottai town police. He was sent him to judicial custody on Saturday.

The police said that based on a complaint of village administrative officer, a case of cheating and criminal breach of trust was booked against Jackson for collecting fees and running the college without any recognition.

Over 200 students staged a protest after they were given hall tickets without any signature. The educational certificates had been returned to students, the police said. However, the students were also demanding refund of fees.
