Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) has launched U-Sphere, pre-engineered and precision-built structures faster than conventional construction.

U-Sphere will add 1,000 employees to its fold over the next five years. ULCCS will expand its operations to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, said Rameshan Paleri, the chairperson of the cooperative, at a press conference here.

The century-old cooperative has delivered over 8,000 projects, which included buildings, roads, bridges and IT parks, he claimed.

The organisation is focused on adopting energy-efficient designs and sustainable building solutions that minimise environmental impact. U-Sphere aims to cut carbon emissions by over 30% over the next decade and reduce operational costs by focusing on eco-friendly materials, renewable energy, and water conservation, he added.
