Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin on Friday distributed financial assistance to sportspersons from Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation, who were set to take part in various upcoming sports events.

He handed over an aid of ₹65,000 each to 16 sportspersons from Tamil Nadu, who are set to take part in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2025.

The Deputy CM also distributed aid of ₹3.15 each to fencers Blessila Sangma and P. Aravindan, who would take part in the Junior World Cup Fencing Championship organised by the International Fencing Federation (Fédération Internationale d’Escrime or FIE) in Kazakhstan.

Mr. Udhayanidhi also felicitated sportspersons who represented Tamil Nadu in the Khelo India Winter Games, 2025, that concluded in Leh. The Tamil Nadu Champions Foundation had supported them. .
