The Tirupattur Taluk police seized two lorries and an earth mover that were used to illegally mine sand in an irrigation tank in Tirupattur on Saturday.

The Tirupattur police on Saturday seized two lorries and an earth mover that were used to illegally mine sand in an irrigation tank here. The culprits fled the spot on noticing the police team patrolling the highway near Tirupattur town. Following the incident, special teams were formed to nab the culprits.
