Two members of a family were killed and two sustained grievous injuries after a tipper collided with a two-wheeler they were travelling on, in Mailardevpally late on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Ruksana Begum and her daughter Shifa Begum. While the father Azim and his son Muzamil are undergoing treatment in Osmania General Hospital.  

According to the police, the family was travelling from Langar Houz to Falaknuma around 11 p.m. when a tipper knocked down their vehicle and ran over them. The Mailardevpally police arrested the tipper driver Chirla Shiva, 37. A case was registered.
