A massive tree got uprooted and fell on Krumbiegel Road near Lalbagh main gate, leading to a major traffic disruption on Thursday around 10 p.m. The road was shut between Lalbagh main gate and west gate for over an hour.

Authorities were forced to close the road and divert traffic towards Lalbagh Fort Road. The sudden change led to confusion among commuters, resulting in congestion at the Lalbagh main gate junction.

Traffic police were deployed at the site to manage the situation, while Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike authorities were alerted to clear the obstruction.

The police said a few vehicles that were passing by escaped narrowly as the tree fell. The City Market traffic police rushed to the spot and diverted traffic to adjacent roads.
