Founder’s Day celebrated

The 40th Founder’s Day of the Pushpalata Schools in Tirunelveli came alive with vibrant energy and grandeur. The campus witnessed a magnificent celebration, with the participation of Collector R.Sukumar as the chief guest. Maragathavalli, Chairperson, Balasubramaniam, Director, Pushpala Pooranam, Correspondent and Principal of Pushpalata schools were present at the event.

In his address, Mr.Sukumar exhorted the students to trust their teachers and to consider learning as a happy process and not a burden. He also advised the students to always remember their roots despite success. The academic achiever of Puspalata Schools, outstanding performer in JEE and NEET, proficiency holders and staff were facilitated at the event.

Libraries and clubs

Sankar Polytechnic College, Sankar Nagar, hosted an event to celebrate the librarian day and inaugurate its library and NDLI clubs. A. Sankara Subramanian, Principal of SPC presided over the event.

The event also included a session on “Effective AI Tools for Learning”. J.Arumugam, Librarian, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, was the chief guest. He delivered a speech on the session’s topic and introduced several AI tools for the students that they can use for learning.

Faculty Development Programme

The SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter (ID:3094) of A.P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi, in collaboration with its academic MoU partner Nucleus of Learning and Development (NLD), Gujarat, organised a six-day online National Faculty Development Programme (FDP) from August 11 to 16 on “The legacy of Bharatiya Vidya: Indigenous Indian Education and Indian Knowledge Systems.”

The FDP was convened and organised by R. Vadivukarasi, Assistant Professor of English and Coordinator of the SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter, who coordinated the academic sessions.

Special lecture

Department of Management Studies of Anna University Regional Campus, Tirunelveli, organised a special lecture on Advanced Business Technology Integration. J.S. Sukumar, Industry Institute Interactive Consultant, REDHAT LINUX, attended the event as chief guest and highlighted the growing importance of cloud computing.

School anniversary

Stars’ Model Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Tiruchendur, celebrated its 16th anniversary with a vibrant procession. Renowned writer Udayasankar, winner of Bala Puraskar Sahitya Akademi Award, presided over the ceremony.

The celebration featured more than 30 performances, including silambam, karakattam,oyilattam etc,. The school’s annual report was presented by Sudarshan, Principal.

Overall championship

Sardar Rajas College, Vadakkankulam, won the overall championship at the 31st State Conference of Tamil Nadu Student Nurses Association, a unit of the trained nurses association of Tamil Nadu. The event held at the GTN College of Nursing in Dindigul witnessed a participation of over 4,000 students from 171 nursing schools and colleges across the State.
