A three-day cluster of expos centred on the food industry began in Coimbatore on Wednesday. Held at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex, the event brings together stakeholders from restaurants, hotels, cafes, bakeries, catering services, and food processing industries.

The expos — HoReCa Expo, Bakers Technology Fair, Food Confluence, Food & Drink Processing Expo, Food Pack Expo, and Dairy Processing Expo — feature over 300 exhibitors showcasing a broad range of products and services. These include commercial kitchen and cooking equipment, food processing machinery, packaging systems, dairy-related technologies, cafe and bakery appliances, refrigeration units, display counters, cleaning and hygiene solutions and cold storage infrastructure.

Organisers said the event aims to facilitate networking, support business development, and introduce new solutions relevant to the food service and processing sectors. An estimated 20,000 visitors are expected over the three days.

Workshops led by experts are covering topics such as cost and waste management, product presentation, bakery operations, and the evolving role of procurement. The programme also includes live demonstrations, product launches, and interactive sessions.

A home baker planning to open a cafe in Coimbatore said the expo helped them explore available options. “It’s useful to see everything from ovens to display counters in one place before making decisions,” they said.
