A man accused in a theft case, who was absconding for twenty years has been traced and nabbed by the Sankeshwar Station police in Belagavi district.

The accused Raju Prataprao Chandwani, 65, facing charges of stealing a LPG cylinder, was released from prison on bail twenty years ago and he had subsequently vanished.

He was traced by the Sankeshwar Police at New Shahupuri in Kolhapur and arrested on May 1. He was produced before JMFC court in Sankeshwar and was remanded in judicial custody.
