As many as 10 flights scheduled to land at Bengaluru airport were diverted to Chennai due to inclement weather.

The diverted flights included services from cities such as Hyderabad, Nashik, Bagdogra, Port Blair, Goa, and Durgapur.

Owing to heavy rain in Bengaluru, flights that were expected to arrive between 5 p.m. and 6.45 p.m. could not land and were diverted to Chennai airport, according to airport officials.

The flights later departed to Bengaluru from Chennai after 7 p.m.
