Telangana Jagruthi president and BRS MLC K. Kavitha announced that the organisation will provide political training to youth, women, and students, who do not have any political background, to help them realise their dream of becoming leaders one day.

Unveiling a poster of the political training programme, “Leader,” at her residence in the city on Sunday, Ms. Kavitha emphasised the importance of youth’s participation for a cleaner and better politics. She said that Telangana is known for its youth spirit and highlighted the need to instil this trait in future generations.

Ms. Kavitha announced that Telangana Jagruthi will conduct three-day political training sessions every month across the State. The first session will begin in July in Hyderabad, followed by monthly sessions in various districts starting from August.

Encouraging students, youth, and women to participate in the training programme, she stated that the sessions will cover key topics such as the roles and responsibilities of elected representatives, identifying public issues, resolving them, and mobilizing development funds.

The BRS MLC reiterated that Telangana Jagruthi will continue to fight for achieving 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) in local body elections. She also highlighted the significance of preparing women leaders for the parliamentary and assembly elections, especially in light of the Women’s Reservation Act, which provides 33% reservations for women. With delimitation expected to increase the number of Assembly seats in Telangana and Lok Sabha seats as well, Kavitha emphasized the need for strong, well-informed leaders.
