The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) commenced the first-year intermediate examinations on Wednesday (March 5, 2025) morning. A total of 9.96 lakh students across the State are set to appear for the Second Language Paper-1, which began at 9 a.m. and is scheduled to conclude at 12 noon.

At various examination centres in Hyderabad, parents were seen accompanying their children, offering last-minute words of encouragement before they entered the exam halls. As per the guidelines printed on the hall tickets, students were required to be seated by 8.30 a.m., with question papers distributed at 9 a.m.

Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Secretary Krishna Aditya, during a press meet on Monday (March 3, 2025) announced that the hall tickets for the exams are embedded with a QR code, while the 24-page answer books will come with a barcode. Additionally, he stated that all question papers, including their covers and inside pages, will feature a unique code to ensure security at every stage, from printing to distribution and final use, making the system foolproof.
