Technopark to host short film festival on Saturday

Technopark will on Saturday host the 13th edition of Prathidhwani Qisa Film Festival 2024 (PQFF 2024) featuring short films made by IT professionals working in Technopark, Infopark, and Cyber Park. The festival, organised by Prathidhwani, welfare and recreation forum of IT employees, will in its latest edition feature 32 short films.

Award ceremony

The screenings have been scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the award ceremony at the Travancore Hall of Technopark at 7 p.m. Film editor and former vice chairperson of the Kerala State Chalachithra Academy Bina Paul will head the jury, while actor and dubbing artiste Aliyar and filmmaker Prasanth Vijay will be the jury members. Cultural activist Soorya Krishnamoorthy will be the chief guest at the award ceremony. A documentary Njaanum… on Soorya Krishnamoorthy’s artistic and cultural career will be screened on the occasion.

Cash prize

The Best Short Film will receive a cash prize of ₹20,000 and the Second Best Short Film, the Best Director and the Best Screenplay will get a cash prize of ₹10,000 each. There will be special awards in the Best Actor, Actress, Cinematographer and Editor categories.
