The Tamil Nadu government has effected the transfers of 18 police officers, including Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, and also promoted three of them. 

D. Magesh Kumar, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, who was in ‘Vacancy Reserve’ at the office of Head of Police Force Chennai, has been posted as DIG, Coastal Security Group, Chennai. The incumbent DIG of Coastal Security Group R. Jayanthi has been transferred to Technical Services, Chennai, to fill the existing vacancy.

M.R. Sibi Chakravarthi, who was transferred from the post of DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Greater Chennai Police, has been posted as DIG/Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Newsprints and Papers Limited, Chennai. 

Pakerla Cephas Kalyan, DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Greater Chennai Police, has been posted as DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Greater Chennai Police. 

Disha Mittal, has been transferred from the post of DIG, Villupuram Range, Villupuram, and posted as DIG/Joint Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Greater Chennai Police. E.S. Uma, DIG, has been transferred from the Salem Range and posted in the Villupuram Range.

G. Nagajothi, Superintendent of Police (SP), has been shifted from State Crime Records Bureau, Chennai, and posted as Superintendent of Police-I, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, Chennai. 

Amanat Mann, SP, who was in ‘Vacancy Reserve’, has been posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Social Justice and Human Rights, Chennai. S.P. Lavanya, SP/Principal, Police Training College, Chennai, has been posted as SP, State Crime Records Bureau. 

B. Geetha has been transferred from the post of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Headquarters, Salem City, and posted as DCP, Headquarters, Greater Chennai City Police. V. Geetha, DCP West, Tirunelveli City, has been posted as DCP, Headquarters, Salem City. 

A. Velmurugan, DCP, South Salem City, has been posted as DCP, Central Crime Branch, Tambaram Commissionerate, while K. Prabakar, the incumbent DCP, Central Crime Branch, Tambaram, has been posted as SP-III, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai. 

A.K. Arun Kabilan, SP, has been transferred from Nagapattinam district, and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police, Headquarters. S. Selvakumar has been transferred from the post of SP, Civil Supplies CID, Madurai Zone, and posted SP, Nagapattinam district. 

Kelkar Subhramanya Balachandra, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Theni Sub-Division, has been promoted and posted as DCP, South, Salem City. 

Kambham Samuel Praveen Gowtham, ASP, Colachel Sub-Division, Kanniyakumari district, has been promoted to the rank of SP and posted as DCP, North, Tiruppur City. V. Prasannakumar, ASP, Nanguneri Sub-Division, Tirunelveli district, on promotion, has been posted as DCP, West, Tirunelveli.
