BJP Tamil Nadu president Nainar Nagenthran on Saturday (May 24, 2025) urged Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to maintain cordial relations with the Union government to get funds and implement measures for the welfare of the people of the State.

In a brief media interaction at Chennai, Mr. Nagenthran, while responding to a question on the participation of Mr. Stalin in the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog in New Delhi, said: “Last year he [Mr. Stalin] did not participate. It is regrettable. But this year he is participating in the meeting. It is commendable if he holds talks with the Centre and brings good schemes for the benefit of the State. He should maintain a cordial relationship with the Centre if he intends to implement schemes for the welfare of Tamil Nadu.”
