Stray dogs kill 100 chickens at poultry farm in Erode

A total of 100 chickens were killed by stray dogs at a poultry farm in Kuttipalayam, near Kavundapadi, on Monday.

The farm, owned by Somasundaram, housed thousands of chickens. On Monday morning, Somasundaram discovered that the wire mesh fencing in the farm damaged and found the chickens dead. It was confirmed that stray dogs were responsible for the attack. He informed the Kavundapadi police, who visited the farm and conducted an inspection.

In a separate incident, four goats belonging to R. Senthil Kumar of Majra Pappankattur, near Kavundapadi, were killed by stray dogs in the early hours of Monday. The Kavundapadi police are investigating both incidents.
