The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has suspended two more staff members for dereliction of duty in the task of pasting stickers as part of the door-to-door survey of Scheduled Caste on Saturday.

Subhashini, Revenue Inspector (In-charge), and Hanumantha Raju, Assessor of BBMP have been suspended. Subhashini was the ward supervisor for the survey work in the Hombegowdanagar sub-division of the South zone and Hanumantha Raju was assigned to the Govinda Rajanagar sub-division.

According to a BBMP release, the enumerators working under them had the task of going from house to house, contact the residents, confirm that the survey had been done, and then pasting the stickers on the houses and uploading them through the mobile app. These two staff members have to personally verify this.

However, Subhashini and Hanumantha Raju allegedly did not pay attention to the fact that the stickers were being pasted indiscriminately without consulting the owners/residents of the houses within their jurisdiction.

With this, the number of staff members suspended for dereliction of duty in the sticker pasting work, which is part of the door-to-door survey of Scheduled Caste, has increased to six.
