The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Downtown, in collaboration with Vakaman Developers and the Coimbatore City Traffic Police, promoted road safety awareness on Monday on the Gounder Mill campus. As part of the event, traffic barricades were donated to the city police.
The barricades were placed along Anaikatti road, a stretch known for accidents. The area also witnesses wildlife crossings.
“Our roads are lifelines that connect communities, and it is our duty to ensure that they are safe for everyone,” said Rtn. PHF K. Vasudevan, Director of Vakaman Developers and Project Chairman. Deputy Commissioner of Police. Ashok Kumar, who received the barricades, said, “ These barricades will make a difference in accident-prone areas, and it’s heartening to see the community care for one another’s safety”.
The event was attended by Sumit Kumar Prasad, president of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Downtown, S. Vikram Kumar, secretary, club members, and senior police officials.
