All the administrative and educational activities of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) will be carried out from the Ramanagara campus from March 2026, said Bhagavan B.C., Vice-Chancellor of the university.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday he said that the construction work of the university buildings is in full swing. “Work on the administration building and medical college will be completed by March 2026. After that, all the departments of the university will be shifted to the new campus immediately,” he said.

“The construction costs up to ₹600 crore. Of this ₹300 crore has already been released. Currently, 30% of the work is complete and the contractor has been instructed to complete the work by the end of December 2025. However, there was confusion regarding the issue of acquiring land from farmers. This led to some delay and now we are working to a deadline of March, 2026. The government has resolved the problem,” he said.

“RGUHS is in good financial condition. We are a self-sustained university and do not receive any funds from the State government. We are running the university solely from student and college affiliation fees. Currently, the university has a fund of ₹1,600 crore in its account,” he said.
