Prof. R.S. Deshpande Award for Best Research Paper in Agricultural Economics 2024-25 will be given to ‘Measuring the Agricultural Sustainability of India: An application of Pressure-State-Response (PSR) Model’ authored by Surendra Singh Jatav and Kalu Naik. The paper was published in Regional Sustainability (Elsevier), 2023.

The committee, based on the set criteria, selected the research paper. The award will be given on the foundation day of the Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bengaluru, on January 20. The prize includes a citation and cash, said a press release.

Dr. Jatav is working as assistant professor in Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, New Delhi, and Dr. Naik is working as assistant professor in India Council of Agricultural Research, National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi.
