A Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) of Train No. 20677, Vande Bharat Express and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff received appreciation from the passenger for handing over a laptop left in the train.
Former general manager of Kapuurthala Rail Coach Factory S. Srinivas travelled in Vande Bharat Express from Chennai to Vijayawada on March 6. After using the laptop the officer had left it in the seat pocket and deboarded at Vijayawada station.
The TTE of Chennai division, who noticed the laptop gave it to the RPF personnel, who traced the owner by verifying the details from the reservation chart and informed Mr. Srinivas about his laptop, who collected it from the staff, said the railway officials in a release.
Mr. Srinivas wrote a letter of appreciation to South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager on March 11, acknowledging the swift and responsible action. Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager Narendra A. Patil praised the TTE and the RPF staff for their quick response and sincerity reinforcing the railway’s commitment towards passenger safety.
