‘Prabhotsavam’ was held amid religious fervour in Srisailam on the third day of the ‘Ugadi Brahmotsavams’ on Saturday.

Thousands of devotees participated in the Prabhotsavam of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramarambha taken out on the four ‘mada streets’ of the temple. Similar to ‘Radhotsavam’, the prabha was decorated with 11 varieties of flowers.

In the evening, the processional idols of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramarambha were taken out on ‘Nandi Vahanam’. Meanwhile, the idol of Goddess Bhramarambha was adorned as Maha Saraswathi on the third day.

Earlier in the day, ‘Rudra Homam’, ‘Chandi Homam’ and other special pujas were performed.

Meanwhile, ‘Panchanga Sravanam’ will be held on Sunday morning on the occasion of Ugadi, while Radhotsavams will be performed in the evening. Goddess Bhramarambha will be decorated as Sri Ramavani Sameta Rajarajeswari and devotees can receive the blessings.
