A Panchakarma Technician Course under the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) was inaugurated by Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Snigdha Ayurvedic Hospital in Pothur on Monday.

During the event, the Minister praised the hospital’s efforts in promoting Ayurveda and highlighted the need for increased governmental support for Ayurvedic practitioners. He also criticised the previous government for neglecting AYUSH funding and emphasised the importance of strengthening Ayurvedic institutions.

Reflecting on the hospital’s 25-year journey, founder and chief physician, Dr. K.S.R. Gopalan highlighted its expansion into a multi-specialty Aayurvedic centre with NABH accreditation. He said: “The Panchakarma training centre was launched to address the shortage of skilled technicians in ayurveda.” Snigdha Ayurvedic Foundation’s trustee, Dr. Chaitanya, reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to affordable healthcare and community service.

The event, held in the hospital premises was attended by healthcare professionals, and supporters of Ayurvedic medicine, BJP State representatives, MLAs Burla Ramanujaneyulu, Naseer Ahmed, and Valluru Jayaprakash Narayan.
