NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha made a surprise visit to Mulapadu Zilla Parishad High School (ZPHS) in Ibrahimpatnam mandal on Vijayawada outskirts on Friday (February 7).

Dr. Lakshmisha walked into the classrooms before 9 a.m. and enquired about the teachers’ and students’ attendance.

He interacted with the Class 10 students, enquired about the revision, study hours and special classes being conducted at the school before the examinations.

With the SSC public examination schedule to begin on March 17, teachers should focus on preparing the students well for the tests, the Collector said.

When he observed that seven teachers were on leave, the District Collector directed the teachers to only take leaves for emergency situations.

Mr. Lakshmisha also tested the knowledge of the students in various subjects, and gave them some mathematical problems to solve. Later, he verified the notebooks and workbooks of the students.

“Many people who studied in government schools are in good positions now. SSC exams are crucial in life. Students should study with interest and secure good marks,” Mr. Lakshmisha told the students.

The District Collector directed headmaster T. David to conduct special classes and counselling for SSC students to help them get full marks.
