Collector Rajakumari Gania has asked the officials to make a comprehensive action plan to tackle the drinking water crisis during summer.

Ms. Gania held a coordination meeting with the district officials on the various issues on Monday.

She asked the officials to take up borewell deepening works, flushing and repairs of pipelines as part of the summer action plan.

On other issues, the Collector said there is 15% pendency in the P4 survey being taken up by the village and ward secretariat staff and asked them to complete the same at the earliest.

She also wanted the officials to complete the pending MSME survey and also the surveys related to work from home employees, updating of child Aadhar details, and others.

Ms. Gania said Sirivella mandal was lagging in all the surveys and asked the officials to work effectively and complete them.

She directed the officials concerned to ensure that the children studying in the government-run welfare hostels were given food as per the menu.

She wanted the officials to provide quality food for the children to stay healthy during the examination season and for the district to achieve a good pass percentage in the examinations.

Meanwhile, the Collector distributed tricycles to three differently abled persons during the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS).

These beneficiaries have applied for the tricycles in the earlier PGRS.

Similarly, the Collector also distributed ₹30,000 each worth of laptops to differently-abled students.

She directed the differently-abled department officials to provide the tricycles at the doorsteps of the beneficiaries in future.

On the occasion, Ms. Gania also launched the signature campaign for the cause of prevention of child marriages taken up as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations.
