Thousands of Muslims In Yadgir and Raichur districts celebrated Ramzan with religious fervour on Monday.

They offered special prayers at idgah maidans. The celebrations marked the end of the Islamic month of Ramzan when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk.

Muslim men, women and children greeted one another, wore new dresses and relished sumptuous meals. They also celebrated the festival by sharing the riches with the poor and the needy. Huge crowds thronged the mosques for special prayers that started at around 9 a.m.

Ministers Sharanabasappa Darshanapur and N.S. Boseraju wished the Muslims for the festival. Also, MLAs and MLCs and other people’s representatives wished the community.
