A police constable was allegedly attacked with a beer bottle in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) while assisting at an accident site. The accused, identified as Waseem Ahmed, a resident of Tolichowki, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.

According to Banjara Hills police, the incident was reported near MLA Colony after a collision between two vehicles, a bike and a car. The constable Srikanth, who was in mufti, was present at the scene when he noticed a motorist engaged in bike racing, which ultimately led to a crash.

When Srikanth intervened, Ahmed attacked him with a beer bottle. He was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical care. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
