Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation chairman Obedulla Kothwal censured the comments made by BJP and BRS leaders against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and accused them of spreading false propaganda against the State government as they ‘cannot digest the State’s progress’. He also claimed that the Opposition parties are inciting employees to go on strike.
Addressing a press meet at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Mr. Kothwal questioned the right of KTR to demand CM Revanth Reddy to step down who was given mandate by the people.
He also asked BJP leader and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar to explain what his party has done for Telangana.
The Chairman detailed the Congress government’s achievements, including spending ₹6,000 crore on BC, SC, and ST welfare. He also mentioned that CM Revanth Reddy allocated ₹250 crore to the Minority Corporation within a year of taking office.
Mr. Obedulla Kothwal was all praise for CM Revanth Reddy’s initiatives, such as establishing a Skill University, Integrated Schools, distributing new ration cards and sanctioning Indiramma houses in every village.
Mr. Kothwal accused BRS leaders, including KCR, KTR and BJP MP Eatala Rajender, of bankrupting the State during their ten-year rule.
Another Congress leader Zaheer Akhtar also praised Mr. Revanth Reddy for governing in line with the people’s aspirations. Mr. Akhtar criticized KCR for deceiving the people of Telangana during his ten-year rule. He highlighted the improvements in employee salaries under the current government, saying that salaries are now credited to accounts on the first day of the month.
