The revenue officials of Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) on Friday raided some such hotels, resturants and lodges whose owners owed property tax, paying water bill and had not renewed their trade licence.
They raided the establishments at Lady Hill, Padavinangady, Kottara Chowki, Yeyyadi and Kuntikana areas, an official of the team said.
Authorities of such establishments were directed to pay the dues immediately or face action. They were instructed compulsorily to display the trade licence prominently. The authorities were asked to renew the licence within due date.
The officials will continue their raid in other parts of the city, the official said.
The team was led by K. Akshatha, in-charge Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) and N. Vijaya Kumar, in-charge Zonal Commissioner (Mangaluru Central).
