The 130th Maramon Convention, an annual Christian religious gathering organised by the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA) under the Mar Thoma Church, concluded at Maramon near Kozhencherry here on Sunday.

Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa presided over the valedictory session, while Theodosius Mar Thoma, Metropolitan of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church, delivered the concluding message.

In his address, the Metropolitan urged followers to uphold ethics in media consumption. “In the digital age we live in, we are called to engage with the world transparently and with integrity. The news we share must be truthful. It’s time to take cyber ethics very seriously,” he emphasised.

He also stressed the importance of fostering a traffic culture rooted in respect and care for others. “News of lives lost on public roads is all too common. Responsible use of vehicles safeguards not only our lives but also the lives and property of others,” he noted.

Highlighting the need to nurture spirituality within families, the Metropolitan also reminded attendees that the spirit of the Maramon Convention should continue beyond the event. He urged people to carry on their inquiries into the world with faith and curiosity.
