A 34-year-old man attempted to end his life after slitting the throat of his four-year-old daughter, at Dharmajigudem in Eluru district on Saturday, according to police. Both survived. Jangareddygudem Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) U. Ravi Chandra said the accused, G. Radha Krishna, had a dispute with his wife, who went to her parents’ house along with their eldest daughter a few days ago. Following this, the accused slit the throat their younger daughter, and later inflicted cuts on his throat and hands. They were admitted to a hospital and their condition is stable. A case has been registered and an investigation is on, the DSP said.
