The Fort police have arrested Yashin, 50, an autorickshaw driver from Triplicane, who was caught smuggling star tortoises, an endangered species, in his vehicle. The police rescued 211 star tortoises concealed in three gunny bags. Yashin has been handed over to the Forest Department for further action. An investigation is on.
