The Kerala High Court on Tuesday (January 28, 2025) disposed of an anticipatory bail petition filed by activist Rahul Easwar in the wake of lodging of a complaint of cyber harassment against him by a woman actor in view of a submission by the police that no case has been registered on the complaint.

When the petition of Mr. Eswar came up for hearing, the court observed that no case had been registered based on the complaint of the actor.

The court, however, made it clear that if any case was registered against him, alleging non-bailable offence based on the complaint, he should be served two weeks’ prior notice before taking any coercive steps.

When counsel for the petitioner submitted that he was going to form a men’s commission, Justice P.V. Kunhikrishnan orally asked him to be champion of all citizens and not men alone.
