Jagan condemns acid attack, accuses govt. of neglecting women’s safety

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy condemned the acid attack on a young woman in Perampalli village of Gurrramkonda mandal in Annamayya district on Friday.

He demanded that the government take stringent action against the accused. He urged the authorities to ensure the best medical treatment for the victim and asked the government to provide full support to her family.  

He accused the government of failure in ensuring women’s safety, and alleged that such incidents were occurring due to its negligence. He demanded that the government take immediate steps to improve women’s security in the State.
