A 28-year-old history sheeter was hacked to death by a gang of unidentified men in Anna Sathya Nagar, Anna Nagar East on Wednesday evening. 

The victim has been identified as Robert, 28 of Annai Sathya Nagar who had a history sheet on him. At 6.15 pm, a gang of men who came on bikes attacked him using knives and fled the scene. Neighbours came to his rescue and rushed the injured Robert to Government Kilpauk Hospital where the doctors who examined him declared as brought dead. 

Police registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the suspects.
