A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Friday directed the police to complete in three months the investigation into the disruption of  last year’s Thrissur Pooram.

The Bench led by Justice Anil K. Narendran also observed that the investigation should have a logical conclusion. Any violation of the law and order situation should be dwelt with an iron hand. The court directed the State Police Chief to ensure that sufficient police force were deployed during the coming Pooram festival and that the law and order is properly maintained. The Thrissur district collector and the district police chief were directed to carry out proper coordination in this regard.

The court passed the order while disposing of two writ petitions filed in connection with the Thrissur Pooram held last year.
