In an hours-long anti-drugs drive, Excise officials arrested three persons and seized 3,289 milligrams of suspected MDMA, five grams of suspected ganja, a gun, and three mobile phones from Muvattupuzha on Wednesday evening.

The arrested are Shalim Shaji, 28, Harish, 27, and Sajin, 37, of Muvattupuzha. Excise officials said the suspected drugs were meant for distribution among students and film personalities. The car used by the arrested persons was also seized.

The drive will continue in the days to come. The accused will be produced in court, said an Excise release.
