After the temporary withdrawal of the ‘Blue-Flag’ status to Rushikonda Beach, Visakhapatnam Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad, along with the tourism officials and stakeholders involved, visited the beach.

The Collector asked the authorities concerned to prepare an action plan and take relevant steps to ensure the blue-flag status is achieved soon. The Collector inspected seating arrangements, parking facilities, sanitation, shopping complex, greenery, waste management, etc. He said that steps must be taken to provide the best experience for the beach visitors. He asked the police to ensure the security of the visitors. Regional Director of Tourism Department, Jagadeesh and others were present.
