An 80-year-old woman was robbed of her one-and-a-half-sovereign gold jewellery at her house by an unidentified woman on Friday. Arukkani, a resident of Thirumal Nagar, Narayanavalasu, lives alone. Her two married sons reside in different areas. On Friday morning, an unidentified woman broke into her house, attacked her, and snatched her earring. After Arukkani raised an alarm, the neighbours rushed to her house. On information, the Erode North police arrived at the scene and held an inquiry. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
