Roopa D., who is currently serving as the Managing Director of the Karnataka Silk Marketing Board Limited in Bengaluru, has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP).

Despite the promotion, she will continue in her current role as MD of the silk marketing board until further orders are issued. The promotion was announced by the State government on Saturday, May 31.
