CPI (M) State committee member Yerra Srikanth of Khammam town died of heart attack in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai city on Sunday (April 6, 2025). He was 62.

According to the party sources, he had gone to Madurai to attend the 24^th Congress of the CPI (M). He suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to a hospital in Madurai, where he died while undergoing treatment.

The party Central Committee member Tammineni Veerabhadram, Telangana State committee secretary John Wesley and others paid tributes to the departed leader at the hospital in Madurai on Sunday (April 6, 2025) afternoon.

The party leaders hailed him as a champion of the rights of the working class and toiling masses in Khammam.
