EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) has expand its footprint in Tamil Nadu with the launch of its first office in Coimbatore at the KCT Tech Park.

Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, Minister for IT and Digital Services, and Manesh Patel, Global Operations Leader, EY GDS, took part in the inaugural of the new 22,000 sq.ft facility on Wednesday.

A panel discussion was held on “Leveraging Coimbatore for Global Capability Centres for growth and scale”.

A press release said the new office will focus on consulting services, emphasising technology and innovation, and also providing opportunities for growth in areas such as tax and assurance. The centre will focus on areas such as AI, data analytics, cloud services, cybersecurity, digital and quality engineering, ERP platforms, and financial services platforms.

Mr. Patel said in a press release that this “strategic expansion is geared towards spurring innovation, opening new avenues, and driving enduring growth.”

Prizes distributed

Citizens’ Voice Coimbatore (CVC) distributed prizes to winners of inter-collegiate competition on “Organic Living for Environmental Sustainability.”

V.V. Ganesh, Divisional LPG Sales Head, IOCL, Coimbatore, spoke about IOC’s recent environmental initiatives, focusing on tree plantation projects. C.M. Jayaraman, president of CVC proposed a joint initiative with IOCL to involve students in planting and maintaining trees, with the best-maintained college campus receiving a prize.
