CM moots Hiroshima-Telangana Automotive & Mobility Corridor

The TelanganaRising delegation led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has underlined the need for collaboration between Telangana and Hiroshima Prefecture in key areas of urban development.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, called on Hiroshima Prefecture vice governor on Tuesday (April 22, 2025) as part of their ongoing visit to Japan. Mr. Sridhar Babu made an elaborate presentation on the areas where the two sides could collaborate.

These included clean technology & waste to energy, joint projects in municipal waste processing, sewage treatment & renewable energy, urban innovation & infrastructure, investing Hiroshima’s expertise in disaster resilient design, underground metro engineering and smart city solutions for Hyderabad, besides industrial cooperation.

A proposal for establishing Hiroshima–Telangana Automotive & Mobility Corridor for electric vehicles, electronics and advanced manufacturing also came up for discussion during the meeting.

This was in addition to education and cultural exchange programmes, planning of academic linkages and student research exchanges between Hiroshima Institution of Technology and premier Telangana universities . Collaboration on peace park initiatives, cultural exhibitions and Buddhist heritage too came up for discussion.

On his arrival, the Chief Minister appreciated the hospitality of Hiroshima Prefectural government and acknowledged the city’s global leadership in peace resilience and technological advancement. He affirmed the State’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and peace.
